Summary

Excellent opportunity to join a true employee centered company that provides a variety of services to pharmacies based in the US and internationally.  This position is a newly developed position which will add value to the customers of the company (members) currently using their other services.

 

The Director of Pharmacy Relations & Managed Care Services will develop and/or implement strategies and on-going relationships with health care decision makers in regional and national managed care organizations and provide Group Members with training and support on proper billing strategies for managed care plans.

 

Responsibilities

·         Develop billing strategies and services for Group members

·         Train Group members on proper billing strategies for managed care plans

·         Develop and implement account management strategies

·         Provide insight on payer formulary and compounding strategies

·         Establish and maintain relationships with managed care accounts by becoming the key contact for communications

·         Oversee management of managed care advisory boards

·         Actively participate in Managed Care Associations

·         Ensure that department objectives are in line with corporate objectives

Requirements

·         Bachelor’s degree in business or related field

·         Three to five years of experience in healthcare

·         Experience working with managed care contracting and practices

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills

·         Excellent project management and multi-tasking skills

·         Proven track record of executing clearly defined goals and objectives

·         Must be collaborative, team-oriented and have the ability to build relationships

·         Excellent business skills/acumen

·         Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Outlook and the Internet

 

Advanced Degree strongly preferred (Pharm D, M.D., D.O., Ph.D., M.B.A.), a plus
